Radio host and comedian Ronal Surapradja says that books have become an important part of his life.

The 37-year-old says that he, along with his wife and two children, have collected thousands of books, comic books and magazines in their home.

'€œWe have books from various genres. I buy books regularly, but I don'€™t really read them regularly because of having so little time with kids and work,'€ Ronal, a big fan of British rock musicians, said.

From inspiring fiction books to biographies of famous musicians to comics, Ronal says that he has a wide-ranging interest in reading.

Ronal says that he is not up for e-books because of sentimental reasons, such as the touch and feel of paper while reading.

'€œI apply strict rules for some books,'€ he says. '€œYou have to wash your hands first before touching the books and be very gentle while reading them.'€

Mitch Albom'€™s books
So far, I'€™ve collected Tuesday With Morrie, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, For One More Day, Have A Little Faith and The Time Keeper by Albom.

What I like about his books is that they are not thick, but make me think deeply, even cry sometimes. He often writes about simple things that have a deep meaning.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven, for example. It tells about people that you may meet in heaven '€” they are not people in your inner circle. They can be some random people that actually do great things for you.

You see, I'€™m a cheerful person. Even though I have a mellow part in me, it takes a lot of courage to read Albom'€™s books. I'€™ll definitely cry afterwards. He has a skill in making touching, descriptive and imaginative writings. He speaks about heaven, but it is beyond boundaries.

Rockstar biographies
I'€™m a big fan of U2, so I have several books about the band. However, what I am most proud to have is U2 By U2, an autobiography of the legendary band. It'€™s a big book, containing a lot of photos and stories that were never told before. I bought the book in 2006 when I had the chance to watch the band'€™s concert in Australia. Besides U2, I also collect biographies of other rockers, like Morrissey and The Doors.

'€˜Green Lantern'€™ comics
The Green Lantern is my all-time favorite comic book. I personally like the good values that are introduced by the comic. The ultimate power of each Green Lantern Corps member is will power. I incorporate that value into my life. I also learned how to have an imagination and how to think creatively from the comic.
