Balinese workers are workaholics: BPS

T

he National Bureau of Statistics (BPS) has noted that Bali is the province with the highest working hours in the country, which shows the reality that Balinese workers are workaholic and productive.

'€œBali has the highest working hours. Workers in general work above the normal hours. They are hard workers,'€ head of the Bali BPS office Panusunan Siregar said in Denpasar on Wednesday.

Panusunan said that based on a survey conducted by BPS in February, 76.9 percent, or 1.8 million, of 2.4 million workers in the province worked more than 35 hours per week, while only 15.54 percent, or 376,900, worked less than 35 hours .

'€œBali has the least number of workers working less than 35 hours per week, while Indonesia has the highest number of workers working less than 35 hours weekly,'€ he said as quoted by kompas.com. (rms) (++++)
