The journalists said they have had to find other ways to support their families and meet their daily needs.
'This is the first week of the fifth month and there is no certainty yet,' kompas.com quoted a beritajakarta.com journalist identified as JK as saying on Tuesday night.
JK said he had to use his bank savings to cover daily needs, but his family cannot survive if he is not paid in June because his savings have been wholly spent.
Another journalist identified as FG said he was facing a serious financial problem because he had no savings to support his family during the difficult time.
'I had to borrow some money from my neighbors and relatives to cover my family's needs in the past five months,' he said, adding that he could not work his best because he has been haunted by his family's financial problems.
'I need a salary to support my family, to buy my daily meals and cover my daily operations in the field,' he said. (rms)(++++)
