AKASSAR: The police have named a politician from the Nasdem Party'€™s Gowa chapter, Abdul Rahman, as a suspect in relation to using narcotics.

'€œBased on his urine test, he was positive for drug use,'€ Makassar'€™s Rappocini Police Office chief Adj. Comr. Muari said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Friday. Muari said Rahman was arrested along with seven others in police raids in two separate locations in Makassar last week.

Besides the politician, he said the police had also declared three people, identified as Hermanto, Asfan and Marzuki, as suspects for drug use, while another, identified as Andi, was suspected of being a drug dealer.
