AKARTA: Irvan Taufik Rahardian, a 38-year-old member of the Bina Daksa Budi Bakti social center for physical disabilities, died after jumping from the third floor of a building in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, on Friday.

Cengkareng Police chief Comr. Febriansyah said that according to witnesses, Irvan'€™s action was a suicide. '€œWe are still investigating the motive of the suicide,'€ he said as quoted by beritajakarta.com.

Febriansyah said that Irvan'€™s colleagues rushed him to the Cengkareng regional hospital but he died on the way.

He said two of his friends also tried to prevent him from jumping, but to no avail.

'€œThey have physical disabilities. They could not save him. His body was brought to the Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital for an autopsy,'€ Febriansyah said.
