V personality Daniel Mananta opened a branch of his Damn! I Love Indonesia clothing store in Manado, North Sulawesi, over the weekend, kapanlagi.com reported.
The store at the Manado Town Square 3 shopping mall is far larger than the other nine stores of the same chain, which are located in other major cities. Daniel said he opened the store after meeting an elderly woman two years ago, who often flew to Jakarta just to shop for this apparel.
'She pinched my ear in reprimand and asked me to open a store in Manado, because she was tired of going back and forth to Jakarta to shop for her friends.'
'That time I made a promise to her and later I received an offer for a vacant slot from the mall management,' said Daniel.
The host of popular singing contest Indonesian Idol invited two hosts of online travel show Jalan-jalan Men, Petra Jebraw and Naya, for the store's opening event on Friday.
