ommuter line operator KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) has recorded that the number of passengers who used its commuter trains on the recent Christmas weekend increased by 10 percent compared to regular weekends.
On the Christmas holiday on Dec. 25, the number of passengers reached up to 720,000 people, higher than that on normal days, which ranges from 650,000 to 700,000 people, the company reported.
“To ensure that all services run well in the holiday season, KCJ has added some services and security personnel at several major stations, such as in Bogor, Manggarai, Juanda and Jakarta Kota,” KCJ spokeswoman Eva Chairunisa said, as quoted by kompas.com on Monday.
