akarta deputy governor candidate Sandiaga Uno was accompanied by journalists while he jogged in Jakarta on Friday morning, hours before he is to participate in a second official gubernatorial election debate.
The businessman, journalists and his private bodyguards began the morning run from his residence in upscale Senopati, South Jakarta. They headed to Gelora Bung Karno sports complex along a 6-kilometer route, Antara reported.
Sandiaga, who jogs as part of his daily routine, greeted people along the way.
Some journalists who failed to keep up with Sandiaga’s pace got into cars belonging to TV stations.
Sandiaga also planned to play basketball at the complex.

Sandiaga is running for election with Anies Baswedan against other two tickets, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono-Sylviana Murni and incumbent Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama-Djarot Saiful Hidayat (Ahok-Djarot). The three pairs will participate in the second televised debate Friday evening at the Bidakara Hotel in South Jakarta. (bbs)
