o increase user interactivity, popular mobile transportation app Go-Jek has officially introduced Go-Points, an incentive for users of its Go-Pay method, which rewards its users with points that can be redeemed for a variety of prizes.
The Go-Points scheme, which was quietly introduced on the app earlier this year, works on a random algorithm akin to a slot machine, giving the Go-Jek user one token per usage of any Go-Jek service. Users can spin the Go-Points wheel to land a random figure between five and 400 points per spin.
Featured prizes include vouchers for Go-Jek services, restaurants, hotels, lifestyle and entertainment services and online shopping platforms, as well as grand prizes of iPhone 7s, iPad Pros, Macbook laptops and a Royal Enfield motorcycle.

Go-Jek’s chief marketing officer Piotr Jakubowski said the feature was developed to encourage the public in the further use of cashless payments.
“We have received positive feedback on the Go-Points scheme and it is in line with our aim to increase customer satisfaction with our app as well as our Go-Pay method,” he said on Wednesday.
In a recent survey by mobile survey service Jakpat, Go-Jek’s Go-Pay is the fourth most used cashless service by Indonesians between the ages of 26 and 39, behind Bank Mandiri’s e-Money, Bank Central Asia’s (BCA) Flazz and Telkomsel’s T-Cash.
Go-Jek has so far racked up 33 million app downloads and its services are available in 15 cities nationwide. (bbn)
