“Don’t vote for the wrong candidate, because if you do, you will suffer for five years. The misery could then last up to seven generations because the experience will stay in your [family's] memory for a very long time,” Jakarta gubernatorial candidate Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono shouted.
Agus was wooing hundreds of his supporters that had flocked to Soemantri Brodjonegoro Sports Stadium in Kuningan, South Jakarta, during a major campaign rally on Saturday.

Agus went on with calling on his supporters not to vote for the candidate “who loves to evict people.”
He was presumably referring to incumbent candidate Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama.
“Don’t be swayed by temptations. Monitor [polling stations] to prevent foul play,” Agus, the eldest son of former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, said, as quoted by kompas.com.
Saturday was officially the last day for campaigning. The election will enter its cooling-off period from Sunday to Tuesday as polling will take place on Wednesday, simultaneously with 100 other regional elections across the country. (bbs)
