ncumbent Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama and deputy Djarot Saiful Hidayat are leading Wednesday’s local election, winning 43.08 percent of the vote, according to a Kompas Research Center quick count.
Kompas revealed that the Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno ticket is in second position with 39.56 percent of the vote, while the Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono-Sylviana Murni ticket have 17.36 percent.

The Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU Jakarta) set up about 15,000 polling stations to cater to more than 7 million voters across the capital city.
According to a KPU regulation, if no one wins 50 percent of the vote plus one vote, a runoff between the two tickets with the most votes will be held on April 19. (dan)
