tarting today, all toll road gates will only accept cashless payments after days of dissemination activities carried out by toll road authorities and providers of electronic payment cards or electronic money (e-money) as well as government officials.
State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga expressed its readiness to fully implement full cashless payments by installing the infrastructure and closely monitoring readers’ devices of e-money at all toll gates across the country.
Jasa Marga vice president operations management Raddy R Lukman said, up to Monday, cashless payments had reached 99 percent at toll roads owned by the company.

He expressed his optimism that cashless payments would reach 100 percent on Tuesday. “We have changed hybrid toll gates into semi-automatic gates,” Raddy told kontan.co.id on Tuesday.
He said all motorists have to have e-money before entering the toll roads.
In addition to the construction of the infrastructure, he said, his company had also deployed officers to anticipate any possible problems, including helping motorists who have problems with e-money. (bbn)
