Three people died and were 10 injured when a house collapse on Jl. Pulo Gundul, Johar Baru district, Central Jakarta, on Friday.
Thirteen victims were evacuated from the collapsed building, Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency acting head Subejo said.
“Three died, while one is in a critical condition and the others suffered bruises,” he said on Friday as reported by kompas.com.
The injured were taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital in Central Jakarta for medical treatment.
The deceased victims, which were also sent to the hospital, have been identified as Anna, 50 and a 2-year-old who were found in the ruins of the house, as well as Doni Pakpahan, an angkot (public minivan) driver who was driving past the house when it collapsed.
“The bodies were found with the woman cradling the toddler,” Jakarta Search and Rescue head Hendra Sudirman said.
