vid travelers who are Visa customers can expect to enjoy their time more while waiting at the airport following the launch of the company's new program.
Dubbed Visa airport companion, the program boasts exclusive privileges and discounts on airport amenities and services such as lounges, restaurants, spas, retail and limousines.
"About 7.5 billion people are expected to pass through an airport in 2019 with expected sales of about $60 billion at airports. Visa airport companion program provides Visa cardholders a one-stop shop to enjoy the various offerings on a digital platform," said Visa senior vice president head of products for Asia Pacific, TS Anil, in a press release on Thursday.

The program's platform includes in-app payment, card verification, smart recommendations and push notifications. Visa has signed a partnership with lounge provider DragonPass to smoothen the experience.
Until May 31 next year, Visa Infinite Cardholders gain an introductory offering to enjoy a complimentary membership under which they are able to get a discount of 20 percent in all 200 dining outlets in key Asia Pacific airports, as well as discounts to purchase single lounge passes. (kha/kes)
