The India-based low-cost airline IndiGo has announced plans to provide child-free premium seats on its flights.
Dubbed “quiet zones”, the new service will cater to business travelers who have to work or catch up with sleep during flights. According to the huffingtonpost.co.uk, the quiet zones ban children under the age of 12 from sitting in the area.

“With the comfort and convenience of all passengers in mind, row numbers 1-4 and 11-14 will be generally kept as quiet zones on IndiGo flights. These zones have been created for business travelers who prefer to use the quiet time to do their work,” the airline reportedly said in an official statement.
Though some have deemed the move discriminatory, the plan has received quite a positive response from netizens, some of whom are now eager to fly with such airline. (kes)
