Pandeglang regency in Banten province celebrated its 143rd anniversary on Saturday.
Held at Carita Karangsari Beach, the event was attended by the Tourism Ministry's archipelago tourism marketing development deputy Esthy Reko Astuti and Pandeglang Regent Irna Narulita, among others.

Plenty of traditional art performances entertained thousands of people at the event, but the highlight of the evening was a duet performance of Wayang Ajen and Wayang Kulit Pesisir by two puppeteers Ki Dalang Wawan and Ki Dalang Rusdi.
As part of the anniversary, the regency also hosted Pandeglang Food Festival 2017 and Seba Baduy events throughout the months of April and May. (kes)
