The Bali Arts Festival is back for the 39th time this year.
The month-long annual event is always held from June to July every year, coinciding with the school holiday season. The dates for this year have been set from June 10 to July 8.
The festival will see visitors enjoy an array of cultural performances and lesser known traditional rituals.

There will also be village dances such as the Ngusaba Guling ritual from Timbrah village, where all villagers present a suckling pig as an offering, resulting in hundreds of suckling pigs being piled together in one place.
There will also be performances from nine regencies around Bali as well as from other areas outside of the island, such as Banyuwangi and East Nusa Tenggara.
President Joko Widodo will open the event. (asw)
