ourism New Zealand announced a simplified visa processing arrangement for Indonesian travelers on Thursday, allowing the application to be processed within three days.
Prior to this, the streamlined visa processing was only applied for business event travelers. However, through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Immigration New Zealand (INZ), Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) and four local travel agencies, leisure and incentive group travelers can also enjoy the service.
The simplified visa arrangement can be obtained via the four travel agencies, namely Dwidaya, Golden Rama, Panorama JTB and Wita Tour. It helps travelers to expedite the processing time as well as reduce the amount of paperwork they need to provide.

Tourism New Zealand regional manager for South and Southeast Asia Steven Dixon said in a press release that the new streamlined visa processing was great news for the rapidly rising number of Indonesians visiting New Zealand.
“Indonesia is one of our priority markets for tourism and business events and we are experiencing strong growth. For the year ending June 2017, more than 24,000 Indonesians visited New Zealand, a 35 percent increase compared with the previous year,” said Dixon. (kes)
