ourist villages in Temanggung regency, Central Java, are to offer visitors coffee and hand-rolled tobacco cigarettes as the town's hallmark products.
Woro Andijani, head of the Temanggung Culture and Tourism Agency, said to Antara on Wednesday that tobacco and coffee were the town’s main products.
She said that, since not everyone was familiar with hand-rolling cigarettes, instructions on the method needed to be made public.
While coffee is already commonly served to guests at a number of tourist villages, that is not yet the case for hand-rolled cigarettes.

“Rolling up tobacco in cigarettes is unique and can be considered a cultural attraction. Drinking coffee collectively is already something common here, and the same can be expected for hand-rolled cigarettes,” she said.
She expressed hope that coffee shops would reach not only Temanggung’s main roads but also tourist destinations.
Woro said the coffee business was enjoying its heyday, with coffee shops popping up all over town.
She also that Temanggung’s hotels and restaurants were expected to serve coffee and hand-rolled cigarettes to welcome their guests. (wng)
