Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, East Java, has been recognized as the most on-time airport in Southeast Asia in April 2018 by UK-based air travel intelligence company OAG.

According to OAG’S research, Juanda airport recorded over 1,000 flights in one month.

The results were based on independent research performed by OAG, and were published in the April 2018 OAG Flightview Monthly OTP Report.

The on-time performance for Juanda was ranked at 95.5 percent, higher than Singapore’s Changi International Airport’s 87.1 percent.

On-time performance refers to arrivals and departures within 15 minutes of their scheduled times.

We will continue collaborating with stakeholders to ensure safe and effective operational activities for passengers during their time in the airports,” said Faik Fahmi, director of PT Angkasa Pura 1 (Persero) in a press release received by The Jakarta Post.

Juanda airport was also named the world’s most punctual airport in 2016.
