Jetstar is offering a special service for business travelers.

Called FlexiBiz, the service caters to business travelers who want to save money while still enjoying the same services.

“In Asia, currently, there is a growing demand from business travelers who would like to travel efficiently with more flexibility, such as a change of schedule on the day of travel,” Francis Loi, Jetstar Asia’s commercial head, told kompas.com on Wednesday.

With FlexiBiz, travelers are not required to pay fees for flight reschedules, as long as it is on the same day of travel and subject to availability.

“Travelers are allowed to reschedule until check-in time closes, which is around two hours,” said Francis.

Travelers are also allowed to select seats and bring two carry-on items on board, which have a total weight of 10 kilograms.

Should they need to cancel their flights, no fee will be charged and they will get a credit voucher for the full amount, valid for six months.

The vouchers can be used by partners or family members who want to fly with Jetstar, as long as the cancelation is made at least 24 hours before the scheduled flight.

Francis said during peak hours, over 50 percent of passengers on the Asia Pacific routes -- such as Singapore to Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Manila, Yangon and Hong Kong -- are business travelers.

The service has been available since Wednesday, with a starting price of Rp 328,000 (US$24). (wng)
