For those who are into off-roading, enjoying 4x4 adventures while vacationing with the family is now possible.
Kompas.com reports that a resort spanning 32 hectares now offers tracks for off-road fans.
There are a variety of tracks ranging from manmade ones with several obstacles to jungle tracks at the foot of Mount Halimun. And while the off-roaders get their adrenaline rush, their families get to relax at the resort.
This combo vacation is available at Jeep Station Indonesia (JSI) in Megamendung, Bogor, West Java. The off-road tracks accommodate beginners to advanced off-roaders.
“We have two manmade tracks that are among the first made in Indonesia, with many different obstacle levels. There are rocks, logs, ditches and other obstacles,” Jerry Hermawan Lo, CEO of JSI said in a press conference addressing the logo rebranding at the resort on Saturday.
He went on to say that off-road tracks at JSI were quite difficult for beginners but made for reliable training before going into the wild.
Those who are interested in trying to go off-road at the resort may rent a 4x4 Tubular or Suzuki Jimny on the manmade track for Rp 1 million (US$71) per 30 minutes. A Land Cruiser on the manmade track can be rented at Rp 1.5 million per 30 minutes.

Speaking of family activities, children can indulge in ATV or boogie UTV adventures around the resort. Outdoor activities for family or corporate gatherings include rafting, paintball, archery and team-building activities. Packages start from Rp 225,000 per person.
Accommodation options range from tents and containers to wooden villas with private pools. Tent stays offer a glamping experience with features equivalent to three-star hotels.
Weekend rates were Rp 726,000 to Rp 3,600,000, Jerry was quoted as saying by kompas.com. (mut)
