n commemorating the One-Million Tree Day on Jan. 10, AdaKami collaborated with Mangrove Jakarta Community to plant 500 mangrove plant type rhizopora sp. on Jan. 15 at PIK Mangrove Ecotourism, North Jakarta. This environmental care activity is expected to make a real contribution and have a positive impact on the mangrove ecosystem and of course the surrounding environment.

This environmental care event was divided into two activities, namely cleaning up plastic waste around PIK Mangrove Ecotourism and planting 500 mangroves of the rhizophora stylosa type. The series of planting events began with a briefing about the function and importance of planting mangrove trees, conducted by Paundra Hanutama, the founder of Mangrove Jakarta, who is also an environmental activist, complemented by a simultaneous planting event conducted by a team of volunteers.

"In commemorating and out of respect for One-Million Tree Day, we chose to plant mangrove trees. It’s all because mangrove trees are plants that have many benefits, physical, biological and economic," said Jonathan Krissantosa, business development manager of PT Pembinaan Digital Indonesia (AdaKami).

"From a physical perspective, mangroves are useful as a fortress that can prevent a tsunami from occurring. Meanwhile, in terms of biology, the mangrove ecosystem is useful as a place for protection and growth and development of animals such as fish, shrimp and several other animals. And, of course, from an economic point of view, mangroves are also useful as raw materials in making dodol [sweet toffee-like confection], syrup, sugar, batik cloth and others," said Jonathan.

"And we hope that in the future with these kinds of activities, many people will be aware of the importance of the function of trees for life, so that they will actively plant mangroves for the good of the earth in the future. Hopefully our activities with volunteers and the Jakarta Mangrove team can run smoothly and can contribute to preventing climate change," Jonathan added.

AdaKami and the Mangrove Jakarta Community support efforts to prevent the decline in the area of mangrove forests in Indonesia by planting mangroves, spreading the spirit of conservation by planting 500 mangrove trees. The Mangrove Jakarta Community consistently educates the public about the importance of mangrove conservation on Instagram, @adakami.id and @mangrovejakarta.id.

Mangrovejakarta.id has also opened a fundraiser at www.kitabisa.com/mangrovejakartaid, which will be used for mangrove conservation activities in Jakarta and its surroundings.

The Mangrove Planting Action as a collaboration between AdaKami and Jakarta Mangrove Community is a demonstration of AdaKami's commitment to caring for environmental issues that have a direct impact on improving the quality of life of the community. The literacy efforts carried out by Jakarta Mangrove Community are in line with Adakami's literacy spirit. AdaKami believes and is committed to continuing to educate the public as an effort to improve quality of life through digital financial literacy, especially regarding peer-to-peer lending. Since 2021, AdaKami has carried out various activities to increase and maximize public understanding of digital finance, especially peer-to-peer lending via several platforms such as conventional media and digital media.
