Saratoga seeks to enlarge its investment in its health care and renewable energy portfolio, as it aims to reduce its portfolio in natural resources.
ublicly listed investment firm Saratoga Investama Sedaya, which operates under ticker SRTG, plans to diversify its investment portfolio with the healthcare and renewable energy sectors, while at the same time reducing its exposure to the natural resources sector.
About 85 percent of Saratoga’s investment portfolio is made up of three major publicly listed firms, namely Tower Bersama Infrastructure, Merdeka Copper Gold and Adaro Energy Indonesia, which register under tickers TBIG, MDKA and ADRO, respectively.
Tower Bersama operates telecommunication towers across the country, while Merdeka is a diversified mineral miner, including nickel, and Adaro is mostly known for its coal mining business.
“Saratoga plans to build new pillars so that our dependency on portfolio companies engaged in natural resources can be reduced,” Saratoga investment director Devin Mirawan told reporters during a press briefing on Monday.

This year, the company aims to invest between US$100 million and $150 million, but it did not specify how much of the figure would contribute to its diversification into health care and renewable energy.
Devin said the company had not made its decision yet as many of its plans were still under discussion.
