he 2025 state budget was prepared during the government transition period in a spirit of sustainability, optimism and inclusiveness, yet remains cautious and vigilant in facing global and national dynamics.
Deputy Finance Minister Thomas Djiwandono said the 2025 state budget reflects a satisfactory transition period that needs to be appreciated.
"The 2025 state budget is not just a number or figure, but rather describes a good transition and maintains the principle of fiscal prudence," he said at a media event in Anyer, Banten on Sept. 25.
The fiscal deficit, which was set at 2.53 percent of gross domestic product, illustrates the government's commitment to maintaining a healthy state budget during the transition period.
In line with the commitment, the government has formulated various priority programs to encourage the realization of the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, such as the free nutritious meals program, improving the quality of education by renovating schools, free health checks and increasing food security and poverty alleviation efforts.
The deputy finance minister said that the 2025 state budget will serve as an important state instrument and source of funding that is truly beneficial in improving people's welfare as well as supporting Indonesia's progress and sustainable development.
"It is reflected in how we have found long-term solutions through the new government's flagship programs to face future challenges," he said.
