em>MO Bar is the place for the annual gathering of PR and media professionals, laden with an assortment of tasty food and luscious drinks.

Famed around the globe, MO Bar at the Mandarin Oriental Jakarta hosted a lively night out for guests at the annual gathering between strategic communications consultacy Prefinite Communications and food media FoodieS media, held on May 24.

The bar, which takes up a good portion of the hotel’s second floor, boasts an enjoyable hangout space for guests. Sensuous dim lighting fills the venue while bright yellow display lights accentuate the various food stations, set against a panoramic nighttime view of the Jakarta skyline and the Grand Indonesia shopping mall across the street.

Prefinite Communications and FoodieS organized the “casual and fun” meet-up for their partners and media friends as a token of their gratitude for everyone’s support over the years.

“We’re very grateful for all of you. Tonight is not just for [us],” said food writer and publisher Jed Doble of FoodieS Media in his opening remarks.

Prefinite managing director Viana Igah, who founded the communications company in 2017, thanked the consultancy’s partners and clients. “We would not be here without you guys,” she said in her speech.

The guests enjoyed the evening with drinks, dinner and a lucky draw.

MO Bar provided artisanal wine and sangria throughout the event. Craft beer supplier Beervana added to the merriment by presenting guests with the many varieties of Indonesian handcrafted and brewed beers, from brews infused with coffee to those flavored with snake fruit.

But MO Bar excelled in the assortment of foods it served. For snacks, it provided smoked turkey ham and mozzarella croquette, lamb tacos, heirloom tomato bruschetta and grilled vegetable wraps. Guests were invited to create their own main dish using pasta from fettuccine to penne and fusilli. The green rice with anchovy, coupled with its spicy rica-rica chicken and Padang omelet were also highlights.

With the addition of tiny sweets ranging from lemon olive cake to Arabian rose macaroons, and live music for everyone to sing to, the guests appeared to have a great time during the event.
