Reza Gunawan, an influential holistic teacher, passes away after battling with a stroke.

Reza Gunawan died on Tuesday, as revealed by his wife, novelist and musician Dewi "Dee" Lestari', on social media.

Born on Jan. 21, 1976, Reza was known as a holistic and self-healing teacher who was also active and popular on Instagram. Kompas reports that Reza died as a result of a brain hemorrhage after battling a stroke for the past month.

According to Reza's family, the holistic practitioner passed away at around 11:30 a.m. at home.

"On Tuesday, Sept. 6, at the age of 46, Reza Gunawan passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family as he wished. He is physically no longer here, but the memories, the love he radiated, and the knowledge he shared about healing will live forever with us," Dee wrote on her Instagram account.

Many celebrities, including DJ Dipha Barus and singer Bunga Citra Lestari, have expressed their condolences online.

"Thank you Mas [brother], Reza Gunawan, my guru, my big brother. Rest in love, my guru," Dipha wrote on Twitter.

"Thank you, Mas, Reza Gunawan, for being there for years for helping me to understand the meaning of life, and teaching me how to make peace with my life situation," Bunga wrote on her Instagram. The singer also thanked Reza for supporting her during the grieving period after her husband, Ashraf Sinclair, died in 2020.

Reza will be cremated on Thursday.
