Old Shanghai offers a rich diversity of cuisines and Instagrammable photo spots in an ancient-China setting.
There are few hang-out places in East Jakarta. While people living in other parts of the capital are spoiled for choices, those living on the east side still want a nice place to sit back and relax while enjoying good food and drinks.
The new culinary center, Old Shanghai, can now be an option. Located at the center of Sedayu city Kelapa Gading superblock, the culinary center offers a rich variety of cuisines in an ancient-China setting.
“Old Shanghai is the new hidden gem of East Jakarta,” Ramadhani Yundarno Mahfudz, marketing communications officer of the culinary center, said during a tour of the establishment on Jan. 17.
The culinary center is owned and managed by the developer Agung Sedayu Group. Its décor might remind you of another culinary center by the developer, Pantjoran PIK in Pantai Indah Kapuk 1, North Jakarta.
Sprawling across a 14.5-hectare land area in the residential complex, the culinary center is designed to resemble a Chinese imperial garden with Siheyuan structures dotting the area and a grand pagoda at its core.
