PNM Cares: Aid for orphans nationwide in Ramadan

A

s an expression of gratitude to welcome the month of Ramadan, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) through its PNM Cares program on March 4 conducted simultaneous aid distributions to orphans at 62 PNM branches across Indonesia. More than 3,000 packages were distributed at the branches, while at the PNM headquarters at the PNM Tower, Kuningan, South Jakarta, 200 aid packages were distributed to orphans, all of whom are still in elementary school. This Ramadan Welcoming Thanksgiving activity was a manifestation of PNM's concern for providing benefits to orphans, with the hope that this activity can bring blessings and happiness to them throughout the month of Ramadan.

On this occasion, the PNM board of directors provided motivation to them to have a strong spirit and self-confidence. They still have a long journey ahead, and their process of growing up is crucial in building good character for the future.

“I intentionally invited all our young brothers and sisters to the PNM office, so that they could get an idea of the working world, because this could be a stimulus for them to achieve their dreams. Every child must have dreams and goals, like the example of Prophet Muhammad SAW who had noble aspirations to be beneficial to many people. Everyone has the opportunity, everyone can succeed as long as we are willing to try and pray. Don't forget to pray for your parents, yourself and others. Keep pursuing your dreams, keep building your dreams, I believe with all that, God willing, everything will become successful,” said Arief Mulyadi, CEO of PNM.

This is in line with the theme of "The Beauty of Sharing Kindness." In addition to providing aid in the form of school supplies, copies of the Quran and cash, PNM also shared kindness with the children by helping them get to know the company's work environment, which can be a valuable experience for them. All children also had the opportunity to learn to start a business from a young age, which is in line with PNM's focus on supporting MSMEs in Indonesia.

PNM also provided a stimulus in the form of a public speaking challenge. This challenge is expected to provide encouragement to them to hone their public speaking skills, which are important for building their confidence, as in any situation self-confidence is the key to continuing to progress.

In line with PNM's commitment to continue to grow by providing financing and empowerment for contributions to the national economy, we also care about providing benefits to the social sector with a more integrated principle. This activity also strengthens PNM's role in its commitment to enhancing the social pillar in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

PNM is a financing and assistance institution for underprivileged women in Indonesia through the ultra-micro business sector. PNM not only provides business capital but also conducts various training programs to improve product quality. There are 15.2 million PNM customers across Indonesia.
