ust in time to plan the perfect summer trip, Royal Caribbean International is unveiling three programs, all with different charms that will make for unforgettable trips. Embarking from all parts of the world, each adventure caters to every passenger’s needs and wants. Out of 28 ships around the world, July will see Utopia of the Seas to set sail from Florida, followed by Spectrum of the Seas China Season in April, and Anthem of the Seas from Singapore in November 2024.

Utopia of the Seas

Utopia of the Seas is an enchanting three-night weekend and four-night weekday getaway at sea. Starting July 2024 from Port Canaveral in Orlando, Florida, the United States, Utopia will introduce unmatched weekend energy across a combination of exquisite food, more pools than the days to count, and more ways to thrill and chill.

The best part may be the chance to spend a day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas, including the new adults-only Hideaway Beach. The idyllic location was named “Best Private Island” for three years running and the cornerstone of the cruise’s Perfect Day Island Collection. Among beaches, turquoise blue waters, and Perfect Day’s 13 waterslides, swim-up bar, pools, overwater cabanas and the upcoming adults-only Hideaway Beach, vacationers are in for more than one memorable beach day.

“Vacationers are looking to make every moment count by celebrating and recharging with their friends and family, and Utopia of the Seas makes all that possible in more ways than one,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International. “With the variety of dining, bars, pools, entertainment and thrills that make Oasis Class ships revolutionary and the experiences to match on our private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, we’ve combined the best of the best to create the world’s biggest weekend for everyone.”

Complemented by Perfect Day at CocoCay’s pools and white sand beaches, the vibes across Utopia’s five pools range from upbeat to low-key. For a more tranquil day, visit the Solarium, a retreat designed to help adults recharge in a pool and whirlpools of their own, complete with a bar, daybeds, panoramic ocean views and the Solarium Bistro. For those craving a better background to relax, there is also the Suite Sun Deck, hidden away at the Suite Neighborhood that offers a bird’s eye view of the ocean.

However, not for the faint of heart, the most adrenaline-pumping Ultimate Abyss yet is 13 meters longer at 79 meters and featuring new zoom booster rollers and transparent racing windows, to the 10-story-high zip line and the signature FlowRider surf simulator.

Meanwhile, the kids can spend time at the mini golf at AquaDunes; and Utopia Playscape to get their age-appropriate adventures too. For more togetherness, visit the three pools that are designed for all ages, from hit the high-speed waterslides at The Perfect Storm, to Splashaway Bay for the kids.

With more than 40 ways to dine and drink, the ships come equipped with 20 dining options for guests to choose from, whether they’re in the mood for sushi, teppanyaki, authentic Italian, or comforting southern food staples.

Moreover, wherever and whenever on Utopia, travelers are just stepping away from their next big cheers and night out, with more than 20 different bars and entertainment spots, two casinos, live music venues and showstopping entertainment. At the end of the trip, guests may never want to dock.

Spectrum of the Seas

Something more Asian, Spectrum will set sail from Shanghai in April on four- and five-night cruises. Guests will bring home unforgettable memories from the best places Asia can offer, including Fukuoka, Okinawa, Nagasaki, Osaka and Tokyo.

Spectrum will also offer eight sailings from Hong Kong, starting in December 2024, to places such as Ishigaki and Miyazaki, Japan; Taipei (Keelung), Taiwan, China; and Nha Trang, Vietnam.

Catering to locals, its culinary delights will feature an array of choices with regionally inspired menus and entertainment, like Hot Pot, Teppanyaki, Sichuan Red, karaoke lounge Star Moment, and original productions like Showgirls at the Royal Theater.

The adventures available on board are not to be ignored. Starting off with skydiving on the RipCord by iFly, scaling more than 90 meters above the ocean on the North Star all-glass observation capsule and The Effectors in the Royal Theater, the cutting-edge, transformative venue that comes alive with performers, robots and more.

Like all the other cruise ships, Royal Caribbean International is the height of luxury at sea. The ship’s exclusive suite enclave has it covered, with everything from a two-level, 260-square-meter Ultimate Family Suite, featuring an in-suite slide and accommodating up to 11 of the guests’ nearest and dearest to come on board and join the fun.

Anthem of the Seas

Coming to Southeast Asia for the first time, Anthem of the Seas will sail from Singapore in November 2024. While the product is a new one, Royal Caribbean International still keeps the best of its signature favorites, as well as integrating a host of new ways for every type of holidaymaker to experience adventure.

Bringing international flavors to Singapore, the lounges and bars aboard the Anthem will feature live music at Latin-themed club Boleros and Brass & Bock, the crowd-favorite English pub with a live guitarist and pints of all kinds.

For more entertainment, the ship won’t set sail without the showstopping entertainment and thrills, including Olivier Award-winning musical phenomenon We Will Rock You, featuring a score of killer Queen anthems. Additionally, SeaPlex, the largest indoor activity space at sea, where guests can enjoy timeless thrills like bumper cars.

One of the greatest adventures on the Royal Caribbean lies in the culinary delights that are served, and on Anthem it is no different. On the menu is a variety of restaurants and spots to grab a bite, such as Solarium Bistro with its Mediterranean-inspired flavors; American shakes, burgers and more at retro-themed Johnny Rockets; and Cafe Promenade, the all-day cafe.

Popular dining concepts also return to the region, including classic American steakhouse Chops Grille, fresh Japanese fare at Izumi and whimsical dishes designed for all the senses at Wonderland.
