T Pertamina (Persero) once again stands firm as the only Indonesian company capable of competing among the ranks of world companies, ranking 165 on the Fortune 500 Global list. Pertamina has consistently been among the global companies for 10 years. With revenue of US$75.79 billion in 2023, Pertamina is also ranked 3rd on the Fortune Southeast Asia list in 2024.

Pertamina Corporate Communication VP Fadjar Djoko Santoso revealed that the international media Fortune had once again included Pertamina on the list of 500 international companies. Pertamina's existence as a state-owned enterprise (SOE) and a leading energy company in Indonesia, operating from upstream, processing to downstream, is very strategic in supporting the government's policy of meeting Indonesia’s energy needs.

“As a state-owned enterprise, Pertamina will continue to ensure the safety and affordability of energy, which is the government’s main priority, and will continue to drive energy decarbonization initiatives,” said Fadjar.

In addition to recording revenue of $75.79 billion in 2023, Pertamina also recorded positive performance with a total profit of $4.77 billion, representing a 17 percent increase compared with 2022.

According to Fadjar, international recognition of the company's performance was also evident in its environmental, social and governance (ESG) ranking. Based on ratings from the ESG rating Agency Sustainalytics, Pertamina is ranked number one in the world in the Integrated Oil and Gas sub-industry with the highest score, leading 61 global companies. As of Dec. 1, 2023, Pertamina's score is 20.7 (Medium Risk), up from the previous score of 22.1 (Medium Risk). A lower Sustainalytics score reflects a better risk level.

“Global recognition is the result of hard work across all business lines of the company, which has successfully overcome various challenges amid uncertain global dynamics and continues to make breakthroughs in the era of energy transition,” concluded Fadjar.

As a leading company in the field of energy transition, Pertamina is committed to supporting the net-zero emission 2060 target by continuously advancing programs that directly impact the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). All these efforts align with the implementation of ESG principles across all business lines and operations of Pertamina.
