Asosiasi bisnis mengatakan bahwa insentif pemerintah untuk tahun depan, termasuk pinjaman bersubsidi untuk industri padat karya, tidak cukup untuk mendukung perusahaan yang menghadapi tantangan dari berbagai lini.

Kenaikan upah minimum yang signifikan akan meningkatkan biaya operasional. Sementara itu, menurut mereka, kenaikan pajak pertambahan nilai (PPN) dapat mengurangi permintaan terhadap produk dan layanan.

Kelompok tersebut menyerukan dihadirkannya insentif tambahan. Insentif dapat berupa pengurangan sementara pajak penghasilan perusahaan dan pajak daerah, serta subsidi pada kontribusi bulanan perusahaan untuk Badan Jaminan Sosial Tenaga Kerja (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan).

Pada hari Senin, pemerintah mengumumkan beberapa insentif, untuk meredam dampak kenaikan PPN dari 11 persen menjadi 12 persen. Kenaikan itu akan berlaku pada 1 Januari 2025, bertepatan dengan kenaikan upah minimum sebesar 6,5 persen.

Langkah-langkah dalam insentif tersebut meliputi pemotongan suku bunga kredit sebesar 5 persen bagi industri padat karya, seperti tekstil, alas kaki, dan furnitur, untuk investasi guna memodernisasi mesin. Pemerintah juga memperpanjang penurunan sementara tarif Pajak Penghasilan (PPH) final hingga tahun depan. PPH ditetapkan sebesar 0,5 persen, bukan 1 persen, atas pendapatan dari usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM).
