ahun ini menjadi musim mudik tersibuk yang pernah terjadi. Tak heran jika pusat transportasi umum dan jalan raya di seluruh negeri bagai tersumbat jutaan orang Indonesia yang bergerak menuju daerah asal mereka.

Rabu kemarin, hari pertama dari tujuh hari masa libur nasional Idul Fitri, kendaraan roda empat memadati jalan tol Jakarta-Cikampek, yang merupakan jalur utama ke arah Timur untuk mobil dari Jakarta.

Juru bicara Polda Jawa Barat Kombes Ibrahim Tompo mengatakan, berdasarkan pantauan polisi pada Rabu siang, terdapat antrean mobil sepanjang 60 kilometer.

Peningkatan jumlah pengguna jalan juga terjadi di tol Cikampek hingga gerbang tol Kalikangkung Jawa Tengah, jalur yang menerapkan kebijakan arus jalan tol satu arah.

Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo mengatakan, terdapat peningkatan jumlah pengguna gerbang tol Kalikangkung hingga tiga kali lipat pada Selasa malam. Volume pemudik diperkirakan makin tinggi jelang Idul Fitri.

Sesuai prediksi Kementerian Perhubungan, kendaraan pribadi roda empat menjadi pilihan paling populer bagi pemudik tahun ini. Terdata sekitar 27 juta orang memilih mudik ke kampung halaman mereka menggunakan mobil.

Polisi memperkirakan puncak arus mudik tahun ini terjadi pada Rabu 19 April, sedangkan Kementerian Perhubungan memperhitungkan puncak arus mudik baru akan terjadi pada Jumat, yaitu di malam Idul Fitri.
