The government has awarded Rp 6 billion to Paris 2024 gold medalists lifter Rizki Juniansyah and speed climber Veddriq Leonardo, Rp 1.65 billion to bronze medalist shuttler Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Rp 250 million to each athlete competing in the Summer Games.

Indonesia failed to keep up its tradition of badminton gold at this year’s Olympics, even though it sent nine shuttlers, the largest contingent of the Indonesian Olympic squad.

"I'm very happy. For eight years this has been my dream and I'm now the Olympic champion and gold medalist," said Khelif, 25.

The two gold medals won by lifter Rizki Juniansyah and speed climber Leonardo Veddriq put Indonesia in 28th place in this year's national medal table.
