apua Police are still hunting another civilian after six army personnel and three civilians were detained for their alleged involvement in the brutal killing of four civilians last week.

According to the police, the victims' bodies were mutilated, stuffed into sacks and thrown into a river near the city of Timika. The remains of three victims have been found. 

“[The remains of the fourth victim] are yet to be found,” Papua Police’s general crime chief investigator Sr. Comr. Faizal Ramadhani told Tempo on Tuesday.

Faizal said the first three victims had been identified as Arnold Lokbere, Irian Nirigi and Leman Nirigi.

Faizal previously said that one of the victims was linked to a faction of the separatist West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) led by Egianus Kogoya, which was "actively looking for weapons and ammunition".

Authorities have identified the suspects only by initials. The Army has arrested Maj. Hf; Capt. Dk; Chief Pvt. Pr and first privates Ras, Pc and R. Meanwhile the police have arrested civilians APL, DU and R, with RMH still at large.
