T

he Central Java Police are questioning four people for allegedly hurling stones at passing traffic near kilometer 460 of the Semarang-Surakarta Toll Road in the past week. Police have yet to name any suspects.

Four vehicles were damaged in an incident that occurred around 10 p.m. on Monday, and one of the widows of a bus was broken in another incident on Friday.

“[The four people] are adults. We are still questioning them. They said they were joking around, but it definitely endangers other people,” police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Iqbal Alqudusy said on Thursday.

In the Monday night incident, a stone was reportedly thrown from a bridge over the toll road and first hit a bus, then a tow truck, then two minivans.

Following the reports, the provincial police conducted a patrol around the scene with toll road personnel. (dre)
