akarta-Bandung high-speed railway operator PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has said a viral video of a leaking ceiling posted on social media on Sunday did not show Halim station but an area outside the south arrival lobby.
“The images on social media [ostensibly] showing the leaking ceiling in the station’s interior were not at the location of the high-speed railway station,” KCIC corporate secretary general manager Eva Chairunisa said on Monday.
She added that no part of the station’s interior had been damaged or waterlogged.
Water leaked through the ceiling at Whoosh Halim high-speed railway station in East Jakarta on Saturday, when incessant rain poured in the city, according to a viral video posted on social media the following day.
The nine-second video post shows rainwater pouring through the ceiling at the arrival gate and flooding the escalator below.
