The Prima Indonesia University (UNPRI) in Medan, North Sumatra, has issued a clarification that five unidentified bodies the police found during a search of one of its campus buildings were preserved human cadavers for educational purposes, not murder victims.
The private university’s medical school deputy dean Col. (Ret.) Susanto said if a murder happened on campus the university would be the first to report it to the authorities.
“As one of the leaders of this university I am clarifying that there has been no murder at UNPRI, unlike the [rumor] that has been circulating in the public,” Susanto said in a video statement on Wednesday.
