Prabowo-Gibran campaign team deputy chairman claims Jokowi ‘200% supports’ pair

Deputy chairman of the national campaign team (TKN) for the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka candidate pair, Silfester Matutina, claimed that President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo “200 percent supports” Prabowo and Gibran in the 2024 presidential race.
Silfester made this statement while receiving a declaration from volunteers for the pair called the Indonesian Unity Front, in South Jakarta on Tuesday.
He said that when he met with Jokowi in FakFak, West Papua, the President expressed his love for Prabowo.
"I said to the President when we were in Fakfak, ‘Pak Prabowo loves you’. Then Pak Jokowi said, 'I love you full to Pak Prabowo, 200 percent,’ which means number two," he said as quoted by liputan6.com, referring to Prabowo’s candidate number.
Silfester claimed these words were spoken directly by Jokowi, saying the chemistry between Jokowi and Prabowo was already solid. He said he believed Jokowi saw the defense minister as a brave and independent figure.
Silfester said Jokowi's support could be seen in how the majority of Jokowi's volunteers from the previous presidential election were now supporting Prabowo and Gibran, Jokowi’s eldest son.
The support was also evident in a recent dinner agenda involving Jokowi and Prabowo, he said.
