Head of local poll administration in Gambir, Central Jakarta, Hamdi Basjar, said Jokowi was voter number 50 on the voter roll and that he expected the President to cast his ballot early in the morning.
Outgoing President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is expected to cast his vote in the Feb. 14 general election in Gambir, Central Jakarta, where he is registered as a voter, while the three 2024 presidential candidates are scheduled to cast their ballots in their respective hometowns.
Head of local poll administration in Gambir, Central Jakarta, Hamdi Basjar, said Jokowi was voter number 50 on the voter roll and that he expected the President to cast his ballot early in the morning.
"Five years ago, he arrived at around 10 a.m. […] and if he comes, we expect he will be joined by Bu Iriana," Hamdi said, referring to the First Lady, who is registered at the same polling station.
Hamdi added that Jokowi was one of 120 voters registered at the polling station.
Meanwhile, presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) is expected to cast his ballot in the Central Java capital of Semarang, where he served as governor for 10 years.
A poll worker in Lempongsari subdistrict in Semarang said Ganjar, his wife Atiqoh Supriyanti and their son Alam Zinedine Ganjar were recently added to the voter roll.
"On the list of additional voters, we have Pak Ganjar, his wife and son. Also, there are others from his entourage," said poll worker Anwar Rocip, as quoted by Antara.
Gerindra Party presidential candidate and front-runner Prabowo Subianto is expected to cast his vote at a polling station near his sprawling private estate in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java.
"Pak Prabowo will cast his ballot in Hambalang. He will carry out the duty in the morning," a spokesperson for Prabowo, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, told reporters on Tuesday.
Dahnil said Prabowo would head to South Jakarta later in the afternoon to monitor the outcome of the quick count, conducted by a number of Jakarta-based pollsters, from another of his private residences on Jl. Kertanegara.
Presidential candidate Anies Baswedan, meanwhile, is expected to cast his ballot at a polling station near his private residence in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta.
"We're expecting to cast the ballot early in the morning," Anies' wife Ferry Farhati told reporters on Tuesday.
