After exercising their democratic right at the polling station, voters across Indonesia are seeking discounts at restaurants and shops targeted at those who have cast their votes.

Pamulang resident Raissa, 24, in South Tangerang, Banten, said discounted snacks are a must.
“I’m craving for some [Taiwan chicken food chain] Shihlin right now, but I could only get the promo by using a certain debit card,” she told The Jakarta Post on Wednesday, eager to look for other food discounts.

In West Jakarta, a resident of Kebon Jeruk named Desvita bought discounted coffee at the local coffee chain Fore straight after voting in the morning.
Desvita said she was going to seek out more promos beyond beverages.
