T

he North Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office again received Rp 113 billion (US$6.78 million) of funds on Monday, allegedly money refunded from state losses due to alleged corruption involving the sale of land owned by state-owned plantation firm PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) 2.

The money was received from PTPN 2’s subsidiary, PT Nusa Dua Propertindo (NDP) for the development of the Citraland housing estate.

North Sumatra High Prosecutor Harli Siregar said that all state losses, which incurred from the sale of 93 hectares of land, out of a total of 8,077 ha, from PT NDP to with private developer PT Ciputra Land.

In October, prosecutors received Rp 150 billion from developer PT Deli Megapolitan Kawasan Residensial, an operational cooperation firm between PT NDP and PT DMKR.

“All state losses have been returned. The total losses in this graft case were Rp 263,435,080,000,” Harli told a press conference at the North Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office on Monday.

Harli said the state losses occurred because PT NDP did not return 20 percent of the land under rights to use (HGU) certificates, as required when converting them into rights to build (HGB) certificates.
