FTFM is an initiative that aims to foster local filmmaking talent and support the local documentary industry.
"Aligned with Discovery’s quality content and storytelling style that allows local stories to resonate beyond local community, reaching a global audience, this partnership is a strategic vessel for local filmmakers to reach an even wider audience through a digital platform,” said Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific head of products for Southeast Asia, Charmaine Kwan, in a press release on Wednesday.
Established in 2012, Viddsee curates short films and distributes them to online communities through its social, web and mobile platforms. Content from Indonesia, currently available on Viddsee, includes the "CONQ" series, "Joshua", "CINtA (Love)", "Durian", and Joko Anwar's "Grave Torture". (kes)
