With the storm clouds rolling in this time of year, is there anything better than to curl up with a book and a cup of coffee?

Here are some places to head to if you’ve been looking for coffee to sip while you keep dry.

Sleepyhead Coffee

Sleepyhead Coffee has a multitude of options for coffee and non-coffee drinkers alike. For those who are there for the caffeine, different types of manual brew and cold brew are available. But if you’re tagging along with a coffee enthusiast, try Sleepyhead’s S’mores Hot Chocolate, or their Iced Lavender Tea. Sleepyhead’s outdoor seating is a perfect place for breakfast, served from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Located in Pelaspas Dharmawangsa, But First Coffee is ideal for a coffee enthusiast. With a selection ranging from black coffees to cold drip, you can enjoy your drink either indoors or outside. If you’re hungry, it offers some baked goods, but you’d be better off ordering from Taco Local, SNCTRY, or Bao Ji, which are all connected to the little cafe.

A small, unassuming cafe with a smaller menu than most, HOI Coffee is for connoisseurs. While it’s not a place to try when craving a full meal -- its food menu is made up of Western finger foods -- they offer different brewed coffees, flavored lattes, mochachinos and kopi susu (coffee with milk). For those who aren’t looking for coffee, they offer flavored teas and blended drinks.

Where: Jl. Sunan Sedayu No. 7, East Jakarta

Lucky Cat Coffee & Kitchen

Lucky Cat Coffee & Kitchen has a small but ever-changing menu of items that can be consumed in a large, open two-story building. Indulge your sweet tooth in a fluffy cheesecake while sipping a flavored latte. With a range from avocado to sea salt, it’s unlikely you’ll be bored.

Where: Plaza Festival, Jl. HR Rasuna Said, Kuningan, Central Jakarta
