here are many reasons to go to a coffee shop: to enjoy a cup of coffee or two, to gather with your friends, to read a book, or simply to calm your mind. Whatever reason you have, you may already have favorite joints that you love to go to because of their great coffee or perfect vibes, but if you're looking for new places to try, below are some relatively new coffee shops in Jakarta that you could consider visiting.

But First Coffee 

Using the saying "But first, coffee!" as its name, this place caters to those who highly appreciate the beverage and enjoy starting their day with at least one cup of coffee. Situated in Dharmawangsa, South Jakarta, it boasts fresh coffee served in a rustic and homey space.

Doppio Coffee

Literally meaning "double" in Italian, Doppio Coffee wants you to feel twice the amount of satisfaction from drinking a cup of its coffee. Those who live in the southern part of Jakarta will also find its location in Senopati convenient.

Djule Kofi

Spacious and artistic, Djule Kofi has became a favorite despite having opened just a few months ago. In addition to a cozy ambiance, it also offers unique names for its selections of coffees, including changing the name of cappuccino to Regular White. It also has a bigger space compared to its brother, Umbe Kofie, which located in Pluit in North Jakarta.

Sajiva Coffee and Ceramics

You can immediately tell by the look of the outside door that visiting Sajiva is going to be an amazing experience. Adorned with a ceramics gallery, its interior is indeed eye-catching and will attract you to spend a longer time at the coffee shop.

Behind the Aksara Bookstore Kemang in South Jakarta, you'll discover a unique coffee shop called Ruang Seduh. Full of simplicity, yet featuring great coffee, Ruang Seduh is particularly popular among active book readers.

Homebound Coffee

The name resemblances the homey situation provided by Homebound. Mostly adorned in bright colors like yellow and white, it is a piece of coffee heaven in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta; worth a visit when you’re in the area.

Nolita Coffee & Comfort Food

There's a reason why Nolita deserves your attention as this coffee shop was born from the brains of six different foodies. Besides great coffee, it also provides comfort food combined with a chilled, slightly geeky ambiance. (kes)
