he Australian government is encouraging its citizens to eat more kangaroo meat as the kangaroo population has grown to almost 50 million.
According to Independent.co.uk, the number of kangaroos in the country last year hit more than 44 million, almost double Australia’s human population.

David Paton, an associate professor from the University of Adelaide, suggests that people be more attentive to the animal, including the corpses.
“If we’re going to cull these animals we must do it humanely, but we also perhaps should think about what we might use the animals that are killed for,” he told abc.net.au, adding that people should not leave the corpses behind to rot. (wir/kes)
