orld-renowned comic, Russell Peters, will hold a performance in The Kasablanka in Jakarta on Feb. 27 as a part of his tour, called The Deported World Tour.
“I am happy to get to know my audience because the show is a collaboration between the audience and myself,” Peters said in a press release. The comic's 2018 show is said to present a fresh set of material, along with his style of interacting with the audience.
Peters first performed in Indonesia in 2012 and has returned several times to fully booked shows, delivering world-class jokes. His last Asian tours in 2015 and 2016 sold out, driving him to come up with new material.

“I developed the new material for my tour throughout many shows in various clubs in the United States in the past year and I am very satisfied with the result,” Peters added.
The Deported World Tour will also feature comedian Jake Johannsen, who the legendary David Letterman has said was one of his favorite comedians.
The stand-up comedy scene propelled Peters to Hollywood-level stardom. Prior to his upcoming tour, he starred in a Netflix original, Almost Famous. He also produced his own Netflix series, The Indian Detective, which also stars Anupam Kher (The Big Sick, Silver Linings Playbook), William Shatner (Star Trek), Christina Cole (Suits, Casino Royale) and Mishqah Parthiephal (Keeping Up with the Kandasamys).
Russell Peters is also scheduled to appear in other upcoming movies, including The Clapper with Ed Helms, Amanda Seyfried and Tracy Morgan, Supercon with Ryan Kwanten and John Malkovich, and Public Schooled with Judy Greer.
