-commerce platform Tokopedia became the first app of its kind from Indonesia to be listed on Google's "Android Excellence Apps & Games" in the Google Play Store.
According to Google Play's announcement, the list, which is renewed every three months, recognizes apps and games for their high quality, great user experience and strong technical performance.

Responding to the award, Tokopedia's digital marketing senior lead Igor Irendy conveyed in a statement pride and excitement, underlining the tireless effort by the team, dubbed "Nakama", in creating quality technology.
"An achievement like this encourages us to continue to innovate and provide the best for the people of Indonesia," Igor said in the statement.
The Google's Android Excellence list for July included 14 apps and eight games.
In addition to Tokopedia, other apps include Beelinguapp, Fortune City, Memrise, PicsArt, The Mindfulness App and Wynk Music. The games include Animal Crossing, Pocket Camp, Cash, Inc and World of Warships Blitz. (liz/wng)
