Asian Games 2018 official music album now available at KFC outlets

Priced at Rp 44,000 (US$3), the Asian Games 2018: Energy of Asia album consists of 13 songs, which aim to enliven the spirit of the Games.

The official music album of the Asian Games 2018 is now available for purchase at 600 KFC fast food outlets, tempo.co reported.

Priced at Rp 44,000 (US$3), the Asian Games 2018: Energy of Asia album consists of 13 songs, which aim to enliven the spirit of the Games.

PT Fast Food Indonesia general manager Hendra Yuniarto said they wanted to make it easier for customers to purchase the CD by offering it in KFC outlets.

Hendra added that the effort was part of the franchise’s support for the Games and Indonesia as the host.

All the songs on the album were gradually introduced in November 2017. The album involved renowned local musicians, such as dangdut singer Via Vallen, pop singers Ariel Noah, Afgan, Once and Bunga Citra Lestari, DJ Dipha Barus, as well as rock band Slank.

Via Vallen’s song titled “Meraih Bintang” (Reaching for the Stars) is also featured on the album.

Indonesian Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC) head Erick Thohir said this kind of collaboration was needed to increase enthusiasm for the Games and provide an economic advantage.

In addition to the CD, the Games' official songs are also available on Spotify. (jes/kes)
