Cartoon Network will release the soundtrack to the final episode of the much-loved animated series Adventure Time on vinyl.
The network aired the final episode of Adventure Time on Tuesday after running for nearly a decade. Created by Pendleton Ward, Adventure Time has won legions of fans both children and adults and won praise from critics for its oddball storylines and breaking some of the clichés of animated series.
The show's two main characters Finn the Human and Jake the Dog have become the staples of cosplay the world over.
The soundtrack, which will be released by Cartoon Network and indie label Mondo features original music by show composer Tim Kiefer, an all-new song by indie artist Rebecca Sugar and the full-length version of the series theme song “Island Song (Come Along With me)” written and composed by Ashley Eriksson.
Mondo will press the album on a 180-gram Finn and Jake (Blue and Yellow) split-colored vinyl, housed in a gatefold jacket with an eight-page booklet.
